Project Twelve Goals

Personal Growth
We are interested in searching together to become individually more committed disciples of Jesus Christ resulting in a deep life changing grasp of the very real God Himself, the source and end of all our searching. We want our students to experience Christian teaching which has an every-day dimension of self-discipline, spiritual encounter, and confidence. We want to balance academics with practical work and skills in living together. We want to balance work together with fun together. We want to balance directed activities with personal time.

Culture/ World View
We want to give our students practical experience in applying Christianity within various cultural contexts. We want to grow in the wisdom of the Christian faith. We want to help the students of Project 12 not to be merely impacted by culture but to make an impact on culture. We want to call our political, ecclesiastical, cultural, institutional, leaders at all levels to do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly.

Bible Studies
We conceive of discipleship as a well rounded exposure to the major themes of the Bible. We want to have a balanced experience together. That means an overview of the whole Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament, with more detailed emphases on foundational themes and passages. Each class should go beyond mere academics by internalizing the Word of God as our way of life in all our decisions.

Practical Christianity
Our uniqueness as a school comes from the JPUSA community. Community is a learning experiment in relational Christianity. There are not many opportunities in this nation to experience first hand what it is like to live in an intentional community. We want the students to experience the miracle of community, how ordinary human beings, by putting their lives and gifts together can do some extra-ordinary things. We believe this year of practical service rooted in our relationships with one another will have a life-long impact on the students in their walk with Jesus Christ.
